Chick-fil-A's Revolutionary New Drive-Thru Will Be Bigger & Faster Than Ever

Chick-fil-A boasts the longest and busiest drive-thru lanes of all major fast-food businesses, but it wants to serve more customers faster.

Next year, the chicken business will test two new restaurant layouts, including a four-lane Atlanta drive-thru that can accommodate 75 automobiles.

The Atlanta Chick-fil-A will be the first with four lanes and twice the cooking capacity.

The second novel idea is a walk-up site in novel York City for high-traffic locations.

Chick-fil-A claimed these new restaurants will serve customers who seek faster and easier ordering.

"Understanding this desire for convenience, the locations for these tests were intentionally selected with the customers in mind,

giving them more control over their desired experience and cutting down wait time,

while continuing to provide genuine hospitality and care to every guest," said Khalilah Cooper, Chick-fil-A's executive director of restaurant design.

The new Atlanta drive-thru lanes will accept orders as normal. They can also pre-order and pick up their food via mobile drive-thrus.

Chick-fil-A has opened several takeout-focused locations in the US recently, but these new ideas won't open until 2024.
